Bladder Scanning and Positioning

Correct bladder positioning is the basis of accurate measurement of bladder volume. During use, place the handheld bladder scanner on the hypogastrium area of the body and below the symphysis pubis. Before inspection, the ultrasonic coupling agent shall be applied to the place 3cm above the pubic bone of the patient. The Logo of the instrument shall be oriented towards the head of the patient.

Under the expert mode, in order to help the user quickly locate the bladder, there is a green indication line in the image centre during pre-scanning and scanning. The user only needs to move the probe till the centre of the bladder image reaches the green indication line. Once the biggest bladder section is found users need to press scan button again to trigger bladder scan. During scanning probe need to be kept still. For easy mode there is a green indication line in the centre of the circle in the image display area. During pre-scanning, the user only needs to move the centre of the bladder section to the centre line of the circle till the biggest bladder section is detected. As same as expert mode, probe needs to be kept still as well.
