Statement earrings were the real stars of Golden Globes on Sunday night, with many celebrities opting to pair their strapless dresses with sparkling stones in simple styles.

At the awards show, held Sunday night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, stars shone in drop earrings and studs alike.

Classic, colorless diamond jewelry was hot, with celebrities opting for red carpet style featuring brands like Forevermark, Neil Lane and Kwiat. Platinum also made a strong showing, as the white metal complements colorless diamonds that shone bright enough that minimal jewelry was needed.

While earrings were the top choice for many celebrities--and/or their stylists--necklaces seemed to be scarce.

Celebrities opted to forgo adorning their neck lines and letting earrings, as well as rings and bracelets, take the forefront.
